(Option #2) Expert-Led Group Tours

Delve Deeper with a Knowledgeable Guide

In peak season, we may have 2 or 3 customers here at the same time who want a short tour and guidance as to how to proceed with their planting needs. We will do our best to fit you in with the other customer questions as we walk around the grounds.

For those who seek to delve deeper into the world of bamboo, we offer a one hour, expert-led tour for $250 with an advanced reservation.

Allow our knowledgeable guides to lead you through the groves, sharing insights about the different bamboo species, their unique characteristics, and how they can complement your landscape. This personalized experience is not just educational; it’s an opportunity to visualize and select the perfect bamboo with confidence, aided by the expertise of someone who knows and loves these plants deeply.

Our one hour, paid tour is ideal for students, retirees, or anyone who wants personalized attention and advice. And best of all, the $250 fee is redeemable for plants purchased within 6 months of your tour. Keep in mind, we do not have bathroom facilities available for groups on premises.

Chris guided my husband and I on a tour and we still talk about the experience. We learned so much about the different varieties of bamboo, it has given me a new love and passion for bamboo.

Vehicle Loading & Towing Recommendations

To give you an idea of what you can carry, we typically load 25 Adult Screening Plants in a long bed pickup truck or 20 in a 6-1/2′ bed. You can get 80-85 plants on a double axle 16 foot trailer.

You will need a tailgate or ramps or need to build some elevation on the back of your trailer.

If you don’t have a tarp, we can cover the plants for you- we have successfully had plants make it to Colorado, Maryland, Michigan and Florida covered with carpet backing or “Leno.”

If you expect your order to be greater than 20 plants, please call ahead so we can be sure of availability of your particular species. We prefer to stabilize the newly dug plants for 2 weeks.
